Shortboards are chosen by those who enjoy sharp maneuvers, steep sections, and high speed.
Overview
Lessons for shortboarders of any level: from those who have just transitioned to a shortboard to those starting to perform advanced tricks.
During our sessions, we cover fundamental elements, techniques for handling different sections of a wave, quick takeoffs, and for those willing and ready to ride inside the barrel.
Elements and skills you will learn
Cutback, a turn from the wave's shoulder back towards the peak.
Bottom turn, a turn using the bottom of the wave's face to move up towards the wave's lip. It's often used after the pop-up or before other maneuvers like a snap.
Snap, a sharp turn at the top of the wave or near the lip.
Floater, a trick where the surfer doesn't avoid an opening section but instead rides onto the crest and skims along it.
Tube, the dream of many surfers, it doesn't need any introduction.
